Description Model No SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-MC4 VE.Can Description 12V/24V/36V/48V 70A CAN-Bus Smart Solar Charge Controller MPPT Type 250/70-MC4 VE.Can SCC125070521 Original Brand Victron Energy SCC125070521 Voltage 12/24/36/48V Size 70A Width 215mm Height 250mm Length/Breadth/Depth 95mm Weight 3000g Brand SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-MC4 VE.Can solar charge controller from Victron Energy with: 12V/24V/36V/48V auto select battery voltage *Software tool required for 36V 70A rated charge current Maximum PV open circuit voltage – 250V absolute maximum coldest conditions 1000W @ 12V, 2000W @ 24V, 4000W @ 48V maximum PV power Automatic load disconnect 99% peak efficiency Reverse polarity (fuse) protection, PV reverse polarity protection, output short circuit protection, over temperature protection Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Especially in case of a clouded sky, when light intensity is changing continuously, an ultra-fast MPPT controller will improve energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers. Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection in case of partial shading conditions If partial shading occurs, two or more maximum power (MPP) points may be present on the power-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to lock to a local MPP, which may not be the optimum MPP. The innovative SmartSolar algorithm will always maximize energy harvest by locking to the optimum MPP. Outstanding conversion efficiency No cooling fan. Maximum efficiency exceeds 99%. Flexible charge algorithm Fully programmable charge algorithm, and eight pre-programmed algorithms, selectable with a rotary switch (see manual for details). Extensive electronic protection Over-temperature protection and power derating when temperature is high. PV short circuit and PV reverse polarity protection. PV reverse current protection. Bluetooth Smart built-in The wireless solution to set-up, monitor, update and synchronise SmartSolar Charge Controllers. Internal temperature sensor and optional external battery voltage and temperature sensing Via Bluetooth A Smart Battery Sense or a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor or a SmartShunt can be used to communicate battery voltage and temperature (and current, in case of a BMV 712 or a SmartShunt) to one or more SmartSolar Charge Controllers. VE.Direct or VE.Can For a wired data connection to a Color Control GX, other GX products, PC or other devices. Synchronized parallel charging with VE.Can or Bluetooth Up to 25 units can be synchronized with VE.Can, and up to 10 units with Bluetooth. Fully discharged battery recovery function Will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts. Will reconnect to a fully discharged Li-ion battery with integrated disconnect function. VE.Can: the multiple controller solution Up to 25 units can be synchronised with VE.Can Remote on-off To connect for example to a VE.BUS BMS. Programmable relay Can be programmed to trip on an alarm, or other events. Optional: LCD display Click Here to view the SmartSolar Pluggable Display A pluggable LCD display for the SmartSolar Charge Controllers Fully discharged battery recovery function will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts. Will reconnect to a fully discharged Li-ion battery with integrated disconnect function. Victron Energy Support Links Not sure what type of Solar Charge controller you need? Multi Chemistry Profiles Installed: All Victron MPPT’s come standard with charge profiles for multiple chemistries, including Lithium, Lead and GEL, as well as the ability to program user defined profiles. The default setting for Victron Energy MPPT’s is for Lead batteries, but charge profiles can be easily changed using the VictronConnect App via your Bluetooth connection. VictronConnect Compatible: VictronConnect lets you get live status information and configure any Victron Energy products via either Bluetooth or direct cable connection. Connect to Bluetooth equipped products, or non-Bluetooth equipped products using VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart Dongle. Connect directly to equipment using the VE.Direct to USB Interface (USB Type-A) or VE.Direct to Type C Interface (USB Type-C) cables.
