The Ubiquiti UXG-Max, released in April 2024, is an independent Layer 3 gateway designed for high-throughput networking in small-to-medium businesses or home labs, offering multi-WAN capabilities without integrated controller or WiFi functions for flexible deployment alongside UniFi Cloud Keys or self-hosted servers. It features five 2.5 GbE RJ45 LAN ports (one remappable to WAN for dual-WAN failover/load balancing) and one dedicated 2.5 GbE WAN port, powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A73 @ 1.5 GHz processor and 4 GB DDR4 RAM for robust performance up to 1.5 Gbps with IDS/IPS enabled—15x faster than legacy USG models.
