The NightWing Weapon Pulley The FingerTech 42T NightWing Weapon Pulley is the large driven pulley in the NightWing undercutter weapon system — the component that takes belt drive from the F4006 weapon motor and transfers it to the weapon disc. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with steel flanges, it’s built for the shock loads and high belt tension that come with a 10in spinning disc at competition speeds. Threaded Bore — Purpose-Built for the NightWing The key detail on this pulley is the 5/16-24 UNF threaded bore — purpose-built for the NightWing undercutter weapon assembly. This is not a standard setscrew-mount pulley; the threaded bore is what secures the weapon disc assembly in the NightWing frame. Not compatible with standard FingerTech setscrew-mount pulleys. The Full Weapon Drive System This pulley is part of a complete belt-driven weapon chain. The FingerTech 30T motor pulley mounts to the F4006 rotor; the FingerTech 67T timing belt connects the two; this 42T pulley drives the weapon disc. The 30T:42T ratio gives you the right balance of spin-up speed and top-end weapon velocity for the NightWing’s 10in disc. Stock a Spare Pulleys take indirect hits in the NightWing’s open undercutter geometry. Having a spare 42T pulley alongside a spare 67T belt means you can recover from a weapon system hit at an event without sitting out. It’s a cheap insurance policy for a competition robot.
