Cut from carbon fibre sheet, they’re stiffer and lighter than the aluminum mounts they replace — 2.8g each versus 4.1g for the old aluminum version — and purpose-sized for the demands of beetleweight combat. Designed for the Mega Spark — Works with Any Compatible Motor These mounts are the go-to solution for the FingerTech Mega Spark Brushless Gearmotors — available in 750KV, 1500KV, and 2300KV. They also work with any beetleweight drive motor that uses M2 screws on an 18mm bolt circle or M3 screws on a 19mm bolt circle — making them the universal choice for beetleweight builds. Which Mount Do I Need? FingerTech updated the Mega Spark Brushless Gearmotors in July 2025 to use M3 screws on a 19mm bolt circle. The older aluminum mounts only support M2/18mm motors and won’t work with post-July ’25 Mega Sparks. The 2.0mm carbon fibre thickness gives you a rigid, rattle-free motor mount that holds position under the shock loads of competition driving. Note that these mounts are not countersunk. FingerTech recommends M2-0.4x5mm socket head screws instead of countersunk screws. If you’re going to countersink the screw holes, we don’t recommend it, but if you must, remember that carbon fiber dust is an irritant — wear long sleeved garments, safety glasses, gloves, and a mask. Stock a Spare Pair Motor mounts take side hits in combat — carbon fibre is tough but not indestructible. A spare pair in your pit bag costs almost nothing in weight or money and keeps you in the fight if a mount cracks at an event.
