DescriptionPerlite one Litre of horticultural grade perlite sent out in plastic container. This is the grade of perlite for mixing in your compost I use this on the nursery to grow all our plants in it improves the aeration of the compost and makes the compost much lighter and easier to work with. Plus e-instructions on how to use Perlite to make composts this will be emailed when purchased from the drop down box above.,Particle size: 1.0 – 5.0 mm,Total water-holding capacity: 275 ml/litre,Use at up to 40% by volume.,For optimum aeration,drainage and moisture retention in most growing media. Can be used to replace sand or grit in potting composts and container composts. Will give a well-drained environment in large containers,promoting healthy root growth. Can also be used in Hydroponics. Ideal for Bonsai growing.,neutral pH of between 6.5 – 7.5,is chemically and biologically stable and does not lock up or promote nutrient release. Benefits include Inorganic and sterile,Free from pest,diseases and weeds,Helps reduce compaction and ‘slumping’ of growing media. Improves compost aearation. Makes growing media easier to manage because of improved wetting and capillary movement of water. Helps stabilise compost temperature. Please damp the perlite on arrival before use to keep the dust down. Perlite is sent out in polybags or plastic cartons. Please cut / open the polybags carefully this is a very dry loose product. Perlite is a crushable material.

- Orders using this option generally arrive 2-3 days after being manufactured and shipped. (U.S. only)
- Orders using expedited manufacturing will be printed when the next batch of orders are processed which can vary depending on seasonality and other factors.
